Research Areas

Faculty in the BCB Curriculum participate in research that spans many different biological and methodological areas. BCB students will be trained in a specific research area by their host laboratory and Principal Investigator/mentor (PI). The diversity of research areas is a result of the BCB faculty being drawn from across Schools and Departments at UNC-Chapel Hill, sharing a common interest in computationally- or quantitatively-oriented research applied to biological questions. This makes for a stimulating community that supports a productive co-mingling of diverse quantitative perspectives and diverse biological research topics.
